The International Preschool Curriculum consists of 56 thematic units. Each of these 56 units incorporate six trans-disciplinary content learning areas: (1) Language Arts; (2) Socio-Emotional Skills; (3) Numeracy; (4) Creative and Visual Arts; (5) Sciences; (6) Fine and Gross Motor Skills. The curriculum is based on proven and peer-reviewed concepts. Among these concepts are, play, inquiry and objective based learning styles. In addition to the 56 thematic units, the International Preschool Curriculum features more than a dozen sub-content learning areas. These sub-units are designed to cultivate critical thinking, foster self-awareness, encourage an understanding of other cultures and teach internationalism and multilingualism. Here at the IPC® we believe, as do the industry-leading experts, that the first few years of a child’s life, the pre-primary years, are a crucial time in development. We have found that in order to have the most success in understanding and facilitating the objectives of the organization, parental involvement is vital. We therefore involve our students’ parents and families in multiple areas of our curriculum, and wherever we can.
